Soylent Green Is People!

Have we gone from 1984 to Brave New World to Soylent Green in under 8 months?

The Obama Whitehouse has hinted that the public option for health insurance may be expendable. But former Vermont Governor Howard Dean says ensuring the 47 million uninsured is crucial to healthcare reform. Of course it is or we will be living in a Soylent Green-like world soon. If you have seen the movie, you'll remember the Euthanisia of the old (and uninsured) as well as Charleton Heston pulling a baby from his dead mother's arms on a doorstep. There was no place to go.

"Soylent Green is People"
Soylent Green

Palin followers are very wrong. It's like David Letterman said 8.17.2009, "the hippies that were at Woodstock are now yelling at town hall meetings!"

Perhaps the Dems can pull this thing off right yet. We'll see....

""""The rash of reports began after Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (seh-BEEL'-yuhs) appeared to signal the president was open to health care cooperatives as an alternative.

Gibbs said there was no intention to indicate a change in policy. He said, "If it was a signal, it was a dog whistle we started blowing weeks ago.""""

BAD TIMING!

"LEXINGTON, Ga. – An elderly woman killed by a pack of wild dogs had been out for a walk when she was attacked, and her husband died trying to fight off the mauling animals when he discovered the bloody scene near their rural Georgia home, authorities said Tuesday.

See Formosa (Taiwan) history.

A boat from Okinwa shipwrecked in Southern Taiwan in 1871. The aborigenes beheaded all of them and traded their flesh with the Chinese. (Japan later occupied Taiwan).

Op-Ed Columnist
Innocent but Dead
By BOB HERBERT
Published: August 31, 2009

"There is a long and remarkable article in the current New Yorker about a man who was executed in Texas in 2004 for deliberately setting a fire that killed his three small children. Rigorous scientific analysis has since shown that there was no evidence that the fire in a one-story, wood frame house in Corsicana was the result of arson, as the authorities had alleged.

In other words, it was an accident. No crime had occurred.

"Cameron Todd Willingham, who refused to accept a guilty plea that would have spared his life, and who insisted until his last painful breath that he was innocent, had in fact been telling the truth all along."
